Trip to Centro America. August 2006

Garifuna kids

I am in Centro America at the moment, and I hope to write about my adventures when I'm back from The French Pyrenees around the 2nd week of September. The main thing on this trip was too finally meet 'me old mucka' Antonio Blanco Rodriguez after almost 10 years without to see each other.

We drove all around the stunning country side of El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras and stopped in beautiful places like Utila island or a fantastic small town near Tela-Honduras called 'El triunfo de la Cruz' ,where we stayed with the extremly friendly Afro-Caribbean 'Garifunas' community;

We ve been also in 'Rio Dulce' [Izabal Department] in Guatemala and Livingstone near Belize where we tried to drive all the way through the river towards the coast, with the help of my friend's brand new 215 HP 'Sea Doo' Jetsky .

Our goal was to reach places where the Tourists never go!.
